Why doesn't my boyfriend ever want to do anything?

we have been dating for it will be a year on june 15th. hes 29, im 20. im getting really bored. not with sex or anything really but with the relationship. we live with three of his friends in the city. i go out with his best friend more than i have gone out with him in our own relationship. this guy even pays for me when ive goe out with him. he never wants to do nething. we have gone out to eat tgether once or twice the whole time we have dated bc he doesnt like eating in front of people or something. he wont go to the beah with me bc he wont wear shorts. he doesnt wear flip flops either. he wrk out everyday(weight lifts and runs atleast 4 miles a day). hes in great shape, goes tanning. i dont get it. the only things we have done together is going to sox games and ive been to bars with him less times than i an count on both hands. idk what to do. nothing wrks. i dont want to break up with him but this inecurity stuff when your as good looking as he is is just too much for me. he doesnt listen to neone. help!!!!!!!!!!
