Why do you have to be 16 or over to be standing at a concert?

Me and my friends are going to see Arctic Monkeys, and we want standing tickets. None of them will be 16, but I will be. Why does the place where we are going not allow people under 16 to be on the floor? I don't know if it's different at other places :\
