If the Tsar bomb was detonated within the arctic circle, how did it not have a severe affect on the ice caps?

Tsar bomba, 57,000,000 tonnes in equivalence of TNT: surely this must have sevrely damaged the region and even the ecosystem? What was the political reaction to this?
