How do i delete searches from my address bar!!?

i have already done the internet options, then delete history and cookies etc.yes that clears my address bar from actual site addresses but thats not my problem. when i click on my address bar and i delete what ever address is in it and its empty, then i press the down button a whole WORLD of stuff comes up!!!!! i dont no why, maybe some1 was using the address bar for normal searching. how do i get rid of this stuff!!?? again the delete browsing history doesn wrk on this. thanks
