Does he like me or not? what should I do? ideas? quotes? please help me! ?

so there is this boy. he is the one who made the first move by giving me his number. so I txt him and stuff but sometimes he takes hours to reply or doesnt really have much to say but when I see him face to face we conversate more. and we always smile at each other and he sends me cute tetxs while at work (we wrk together) but sometimes he pays no mind. and I feel like im the only one trying to make effort to get to know each other. and we were suppose to hang out twice but he changed plans. so than I actually opened up to him and told him how I really feel how I like him and I would like to get to know.him more and hang and stuff. and what he told me was that he is scared to hurt someone because he was been dumped too many times by girls because he doesnt seem to find enough time for them.because he is always wrkn and going to school and practice. and he said that he would love to kiss me but that it scares him to and tht he pretends to be shy because he doesnt want to hurt anyone. so I tell him there is nothing.to be scare and tht he should give it a chance.. so I asked wat does he want to do because I dnt want him waisting his time and mines.. he says there is no time waisted about us talking. and tht was the end of the conversation (thru text) the next day I was too tired.at wrk so I was not my usual self. and he txts me if I am mad at him? I ask should I be mad about something? he said not sure.. I reply well u,have not given me a reason to so no... than we jus talked at work like nothing and we actually hung out that night with friends and we actually had a deep,conversation about our lives... so im confused wat should I do? leave it as it is or is he just playing mind games? and if u have any quotes to share so I can hint I really like him please post them... thank you guys... I would also like both sides of point of view :)
