Is my mom going through a midlife crisis?

well my mom just turned 40 and she seemed alright till a few days ago her and my dad have been together for 20 yrs and she just all of a sudden quit her job she lied to him about it tho and said she was laid off then the next day she left him a note telling him that she lied about her job and leaves. My whole family doesnt kno where she is and it is scaring me sooo bad i called her today and she answered her phone histarically crying and ive only seen my mom cry once in my whole life and she was saying she has just been very very depressed and she is scared, i asked her wat was going on and she says this lady at wrk was saying she is stupid and nobody likes her, but i dont think that was the main problem. she has lost weight over 2yrs. and her father died 8yrs ago but she never delt with it. i dont kno what to say to her or how to deal with this situation she said she would be back in a few days plz plz help me.
