Golden Retriever or Yellow Lab?

So, about two months ago my family had to put our old dog down. He was a very loving, amazing companion of 12 years, but lung cancer finally ended his life. :( Now we are looking for a new dog. We have two options, Yellow lab or Golden Retriever, both are being sold for reasonable prices, and both breeders are experienced and are confident in their dogs. The major concerns are that my brother and Dad have dog allergies, and the dog will have to be kept outside. I am 13 and will be training the dog by myself. We need a dog that is fairly independent, and is playful, not hyper. It will have to be fairly easy to train and easy to take care of, which do you think I should choose? And, if anyone has puppy training tips, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
